Yes. Minoxidil, the active ingredient in hair regrowth products such as Rogaine, can cause signs of heart failure in cats. Cats can be exposed by licking it off skin or surfaces.
Signs to watch for
- Heart and breathing signs caused by heart failure.
How cats get exposed
- On skin, fur or surfacesProducts on the skin can be absorbed, and cats swallow what they groom off their fur.
