Can cats eat cooked eggs?
Also called: egg, eggs, scrambled egg, boiled egg, hard-boiled egg
Safe
Plain and fully cooked, as an occasional treat. Never raw.
Yes, a little plain, fully cooked egg is a treat cats often enjoy. Don't add seasoning, and never give raw egg.
How to offer it
- Cook it thoroughly and serve it plain, without seasoning, butter or oil.
Keep in mind
- Keep treats to a small share of what your cat eats (up to 10% of daily calories).
- Never raw: raw eggs can carry Salmonella.
When to call a vet
- If your cat has a medical condition or eats a special diet, check with your vet before giving treats.
